Project-based Learning coaching with i-Tech is not a one-size fits all.

We create a custom plan based on your faculty’s starting level of comfort and knowledge of project-based learning as well as your specific curriculum goals or student interests. Our services include instructional coaching on techniques and applications, project planning, ongoing support throughout the project, and project assessments.

Project Rollout

In an interactive kick-off workshop, we gauge faculty’s existing knowledge of project-based learning approaches and tactics. From there we determine an initial PBL topic and establish a rubric.

Managing the Middle

We check-in with teachers on a periodic basis to help them assess students’ project status based on clear benchmarks. We provide them with self-assessment tools and offer ongoing support with scaffolded activities.

Assessment

We coach teachers on project assessment methods including:

overall project versus recipe
involvement of experts and/or community
measured outcomes
presentation
