Get Back to Gaming! Yeah, Work Should be Fun.

June 4, 2013/0 Comments/in EATON, Fun, IT, IT Blog, News, Technology /by i-Tech Support

I have heard some chattering going on about gaming in the workplace, but haven’t really given it much thought – until recently.

With the Millennial Generation quickly joining the workforce, the typical workplace structure and landscape is evolving to meet their needs and interests – especially in regard to flexibility and technology.

Ironically, this morning I came across a post from our partner, EATON, where they shared four great reasons to start bringing gaming into the workplace. Below are their four reasons – be sure to check out EATON’s blog to get the full details for each. After reading this, I think you will be ready to get your company on board by tomorrow morning.

Reason #1: Improve Performance and Productivity – Who doesn’t want or need this?

Reason #2: Increase Employee Learning and Retention – Keeping good workers happy is integral!

Reason #3: Boost Team Building – Become a stronger, greater, more creative We.

Reason #4: Engage Employees – Sometimes you need more than just the almighty dollar to motivate.

I think moving to a more exciting, interactive and fun atmosphere is good for the soul and mind – and great timing for summer (I just need to get the bosses on board now.)!

Are you already utilizing gaming in your workplace? Do you think it’s the right direction to go for employee morale and improved productivity? Share your thoughts with us.

Cheers!
